Career readiness is a vital part of graduate education.
Graduate students pursuing a doctorate in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences are invited each year to apply for several graduate assistantships.
In the past, these areas have covered writing, editing, community engagement, and marketing and communication for the performing arts.
The positions are part of a five-year pilot project that provides CLAS doctoral students with unique opportunities to gain diverse experience in outreach, engagement, and writing that will help them prepare for a career in or outside of academia.
How to apply
Graduation assistantship positions:
- One Research Assistantship for the Magid Center for Writing (Summer)
- One Editing Research Assistantship to assist with projects for the editors of Philological Quarterly
One Editing Research Assistantship to assist with projects for the editors of the Journal of the Society for American Music
Applications are being accepted now through 5 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025.
Current students in years one through four of a PhD and a DMA or AuD degree program in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences are eligible to apply.
Positions are 20 hours per week.
